Q: How do I find a designer to work with?

99designs offers two ways to work : contests and 1-to-1 projects. In a contest, multiple designers submit their ideas and you pick your favorite design. With projects, we’ll help you find a designer to work directly on your brief. The choice is yours—and a dedicated Client Support team member will be there to help guide you through the whole process.

What we do

Since 2012, the 99nonprofits program has provided monthly, complimentary graphic design services to hundreds of nonprofits around the world. Applicants are selected based on their need and how involved they are in their communities, and receive USD$500 in design credits to use on our platform. We especially encourage organizations working toward creating an equitable society or empowering black, indigenous or minority communities to apply.

FAQs

The 99nonprofits program supports not-for-profit organizations that are making a positive impact in the world. Applicants must demonstrate their not-for-profit status granted by their local government.

Of course! Just like with any other contest or project started on 99designs, the designer will be compensated after they submit their final files. Through 99nonprofits, 99designs covers up to the first $500 on your behalf.

When your project is finished, your designer will provide all the image file formats you need to start using your design online and in print. Typically this includes a print-ready, editable file (usually an Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator file) and a preview file (like a JPG or PNG). You’ll also own the full legal copyright, so the design will be all yours.

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. Apply anytime and we’ll review your application at the end of the calendar month. If we accept your nonprofit, you’ll have 60 days to launch your project. We recommend only applying when you have an immediate need for design work.
