What's your vision?
This contest is to design a set of four banners with a clear calls to action. I'm after impelling banners that capture viewer attention and make it imperative for people to visit 'now'. This is a 'Direct Response Marketing' assignment rather than one for outstanding beauty. A beautiful banner that nobody clicks on is pointless. If you do not understand Direct Response Marketing, this contest is probably not for you. (If I have offended you - at least we have both saved a lot of time. Thank you.) The banners will drive traffic to either our site home page www.kidstoyworld.co.uk (or a dedicated landing page) where there is a sign-up box to claim 50% off their first order Should visitors purchase on their first visit then that will be a happy co-incidence. The 'Most Wanted Action' is for the visitor to complete their first name and email address on the opt-in form. Please familiarise yourself with our website and our core values. Your design should echo these. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: The four sizes required are: IAB Wide Skyscraper 160x600 IAB Leaderboard 728x90 IAB Large Rectangle 336x280 IAB Medium Rectangle 300x250 File sizes should be as economical as possible, and definitely within IAB guidelines. Banners must be supplied as gif/jpg and accompanied by layered psd files in vector format. Flash animation is not acceptable, and any non-original images must be licensed for commercial purposes and be free of any royalities. If there are separate costs to acquire images this must be stated at the time of submission.
Our target demographic is predominantly female, 30+ years old and well educated. They are typically parents and grandparents (but could be anybody with a child in their life - eg uncles, aunts etc.) They are time poor, have higher disposable income and make choices based on more than price alone. Product quality, environmental and ethical background and levels of service are equally important.
