How did you get started in design?
When I was a child my dream was to be a cartoonist for Disney. When I went to college, I discovered graphic design and decided it would be the best way to begin my career.
In 2008, I finished my degree in Fine Arts and from there, I started training myself in design by following online tutorials. Design makes me reach interesting ideas and I’m able to can continue my passion of drawing.
Describe your design style.
I’m an illustrator and designer. I’m a good design fit for company’s that want a character design or a similar illustration.
What led you to start using 99designs?
My boyfriend showed me 99designs and I decided to give it a go.
99designs makes me better every day. It helps me improve my skills as well as my English language. Being apart of this community is the best thing that has happened to me in years!
What are the three most important things that designers can do to have success at 99designs?
- Listen to the client’s suggestions and get their design closer to their expectations.
- Have perseverance and don’t give up until the contest ends
- Stay updated with the technics in the world of design
What do you think is the most important part of the design process?
I think the most important part of the design process is to read the client’s brief slowly.
How would you sum up graphic design in one sentence?
My favorite saying is, “less is more.”
Are there any other mediums or forms of art that you like to work in?
Yes. At this moment, I’m working in a mosaic project related to portraits. Also, I’m learning web design.
What is a hobby that you enjoy doing outside of graphic design?
I enjoy riding my mountain bike.
