Book cover design for an Illustrated Children's Storybook. Specifications: Size of inside book block (WxH): 165 x 240 mm Binding: Hardcover (+2,5mm on all sides - see InDesign template attached) Spine: 10 mm Age group: 7-11 ISBN: 9788771321128 Elements on the front: Text: - Series: The Amazing Carpenter, #1 - Title: The Wedding at Cana - Publisher: Scandinavia - Author: Austin Sailsbury - Illustrator: Daniel Fernández Picture: - Use one of the enclosed Plot of the book: The Story is a rewritten version of the Bible story: The Wedding at Cana, from John 2,1-12 in The Bible. In this version we follow a little girl who's big brother is going to be married. At the wedding the wine runs up, which is a disaster, but luckily Jesus is there and makes a miracle - water to wine. Ideas: Since the story is about a wedding and the title is "The Wedding at Cana", it would probably be logical to have an illustration of a wedding ceremony on the cover (Spread 12 or spread 11). But maybe elements from spread 1, 14 or 17 could be included, so it would create some story-telling / depths on the cover / back-cover. Final delivery: - Print PDF with cutmarks - Print PDF without cutmarks (no bleed - for marketing - InDesign package with all fonts and links.
High-res illustrations exist on all pictures, so let me know if you need anything. For most parts, I guess low resolution pictures are ok, just to show a design.
