Ivan is a great artist, and working with him was really a pleasure. The final cover is stunning, able to convey the inner spirit of the book with elegance and mistery, enhancing its message.
I am really grateful, he did such a fine work that I still can't believe that this cover is for me and my book!
Thank you Ivan, you're the best!

Title: Look Away
Genre: Modern Southern Literature
– Jack - white 30 year old male who grew up in the south is arrested for the murder of a black man he didn’t commit.
- Kenesha - African American female public defender is his defense attorney in the case
-the murder is a set-up by some drug dealers…
-the defense by a black public defender is actually a set-up by the Mayor and City Manager who are afraid the trial will turn into a racial battlefield and destroy the town.
Some Sub plots / Scenes throughout the book –
- Riot between the NAACP and the KKK
- An inside view of the very lucrative and illegal cock-fighting industry in south Georgia and Alabama
- An inside view of the Crack trade in a Southern city
-The underlying subplot is the totally unlikely, and culturally unacceptable romance that blossoms between Jack & Kenesha (he’s white, she’s black) as they are thrust into one anothers lives…
In the end the Romance doesn’t work (primarily because of outside pressures) and the reader is left with the question of whether it is possible for an interracial relationship to take place in the deep south, which, even today is very much still ‘the Old South” in many ways…
A Cover Idea I had –
Jack and Kenesha back to back - “looking away” from one another, surrounded by fuzzy images of the Klan, cockfighting, courtrooms, NAACP marches, etc…
I would like a book cover design that I can use on line for Kindle direct publishing, but also use if I have the book actually printed in hard copy. Thanks!
