Unmovable: Lessons from a Broken Superman
Roy Williams hated school from its beginning, struggling with dyslexia before teachers knew how to help. Not being able to read could have and probably should have kept him from ever succeeding. But before he ever wore a jersey for an organized team, as just a six-year-old boy, he taught himself how to tackle playing against a huge high school varsity lineman. Success didn’t come the first time, or the second, third, or fourth, but eventually he learned that he had to break him down to take him down. Just like his varsity opponent, life ran him over in more ways than one. But football became his lifeline. It would take him to the University of Oklahoma, a National Championship, and eventually secure him a starting position on America’s Team (the Dallas Cowboys). But not even the glory of the NFL could protect him from his greatest battle.
Adversity comes in all shapes and sizes. Even Superman has his kryptonite. If you’ve ever walked through a season in life where things have been stacked against you and no matter what you tried, nothing seemed like it would work… then this book is for you. Get a look behind the curtains look of what life was like for Roy Williams before, during, and after football. No matter what you must seize the opportunities to become your best, it will take hard work, and there will be moments of struggle. It’s time to discover that even when it seems impossible, you can still be Unmovable.
