Galens Garden sells natural foods and health products for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. In addition we have a number of specialist sites for each of those species covering rescues, vets, breeders, clubs and shows. We decided to use icons so it is easier for visitors to navigate the sites using instantly recognisable icons of the four main species we cater for.
What's your vision?
Wanted - Scalable vector icon set for use on specialist site selling natural foods and health products for pets. Style - Either black/white (solid or outline) and/or ideally semi-realistic matt using gradient mesh. The icons are to be used on a RocktTheme Modulus template http://www.rockettheme.com/joomla-templates/modulus They will be used in articles to illustrate concepts, in the front page tabs, in the typography and as menu icons. Stylised is fine in moderation, but we don't want cartoons with exaggerated features like huge googly eyes. We do not want glossy icons for this project. Icons should be monochrome or matt natural colours. The ideal set would be matt natural colour which also translated well into greyscale. Format should be layered AI or EPS scalable vector graphics editable in Illustrator CS5 We don't need to see a finished set of all the icons listed to make our decision, but we do need to see enough examples of each of the 4 animals just to make sure they look like the animals they are meant to represent. A zip file of photos of all four animals which can be used as a guide to shape is provided.
