New STEM-focused educational entertainment products for K-12 kids and beyond
What's your vision?
- Color illustration for pair of characters to be used as core for new series of educational products/toys - Target audience: 4-8 year old kids. - Characters are 1 boy & 1 girl, both 7 years old: both have overall bodies of 7 year old kids, but with key features of ‘axolotl’ salamanders (Please Google ‘axolotl” for wide range of real images & art already out there): - external gills coming out either side of head - head shape should be somewhere between human and axolotl - tail - webbed fingers and toes - skin coloration and patterns are like axolotls: one is pink/white/red type, other is white/green/grey/black type (see online pics of actual real axolotls) - Other character details: - boy tends to be shy, slightly smaller than girl, less self-confident but big heart, big courage - girl is more confident/outgoing/adventurous, slightly bigger than boy - both are strong & smart in their own ways, with different strengths & weaknesses that complement each other - both wear simple clothing that would fit 7-year olds - They will face many adventures together, helping each other out as a team - Style cues: - cartoonish, endearing, non-threatening, fun - edgy/cool but NO snark, NO guile - versatile: need to cover broad range of connotations, from badass to cute - avoid gender biases - distinctive: looking for new, original visual style that differentiates strongly from what’s out there in kids games/cartoons
