Financial Risk Solutions Ltd (FRS) is a software provider for the Life Insurance Industry. Its software suite is designed to automate and manage unit-pricing, portfolio valuations and other investment accounting, reporting and regulatory functions in a single system. It targets senior decision-makers within Life Insurance companies such as: • Chief Investment Officer • Chief Risk Officer • Head of operations • Head of internal auditing • Head of Actuarial function Each of these individuals have a different set of business requirements so the functionality within the software that allows reports and dashboards to be customised means that each person can create settings specific needs, while knowing that they are meeting regulation obligations as well as their business objectives – and that the data and information behind what they see is consistent throughout every division in the organisation.
What's your vision?
We are looking to create an online advertising campaign around the launch of our new software product Invest|Comp which is very specialised software which was developed to meet the ‘Pillar 3’ regulation (within Solvency II) faced by European Life Insurers. We require animated and static banners in a variety of sizes ie Leaderboards, Skyscrapers and MPUs to run in industry websites. (websites where we will advertise still to be determined but look at http://www.actuarialpost.co.uk or http://www.lifeinsuranceinternational.com/ or http://www.theactuary.com/ or http://www.moneymarketing.co.uk/ as examples) Sizes: Leaderboard 728 X 90 Pix/Gif Weight 25kb/Flash weight 30kb Sky scraper 160 X 600 Pix/Gif weight 20kb / Flash weight 30kb MPU size 300 X 250 Pix/Gif Weight 20kb/ Flash weight 30KB No specific duration for the banners specified although they shouldn't be too long as target audience tend to skim the websites anyway - so as eye-catching is key. We have developed text for the adverts (see attachment) so what we need is a series of online adverts that can convey these messages. (Obviously this content will need to be condensed for an advert, but the overall message should be conveyed). Specific information on the regulation and the software: European Life Insurers will be required to meet new Solvency II regulation by 1 Jan 2016. There are ‘3 pillars’ to this Solvency II legislation. Under Pillar 3, Life Insurers will be obliged to report a large amount of complex data around their assets, which will need to be reported in a very specific format (called QRT). Invest|CompTM software completely addresses this requirement to comply with this new Pillar 3 regulation as it combines all the necessary data from multiple sources and different systems into the format required – automatically, accurately and in a timely way. A key additional benefit is that the data can be customised into various data, graphics and dashboard formats that can help the company improve overall business and operational efficiencies.
1. Visual Identity/written Tone of Voice The issue of regulation is very important, expensive and time-consuming for all institutions so the written tone of voice is factual and serious. The visual identity should also convey the factual and serious, but stand out from boring so that it gets noticed. 2. FRS is a very niche yet experienced company so it’s important to convey experience in the message and visuals. We compete against many bigger companies who offer many software products, but we are pretty unique in that none are as specific to this audience or this ‘asset reporting’ challenge of ‘Pillar 3’.
