Glocke was absolutely amazing. The designs were brilliant. At one point when I thought the design couldn't get any better, Glocke came up with a new variation that blew my mind. The hardest thing about working with Glocke is deciding what to design to settle on - they're all so thoughtful / clever / creative. But that's only part of the story, nothing is too much trouble for Glocke who went above and beyond in helping me throughout the process. I would highly recommend Glocke to anyone and everyone.

Very communicative and open to feedback!! Reygie Selma even went above and beyond to create a new font for this contest, which blew my hair back. High quality graphics and smooth attention to detail...a definite three tusks up ;)

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Snappy Split is an app for couples, roommates and friends who share expenses on an ongoing basis. It helps people live harmoniously by keeping shared financial responsibilities fair and transparent. It targets women and men, aged 18-40 who have a strong sense of fairness and don’t want squabbling over money to spoil the fun.
“Snappy” refers to the fact that the app uses the phone’s camera and computer vision to quickly track receipts, and “Split” refers to splitting a bill/expense fairly. Users create a group of friends who have agreed to share expenses, possibly for living arrangements or a special event like a trip. They take a picture of a receipt, the app analyzes the picture to calculate everyone’s share of the expense and then the app keeps track of who has paid their fair share.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We need an app icon for iOS.
Clean and straightforward with concise iconography, the winning design will fit in well among Apple’s built-in apps on a users home screen. Use of colour, subtle gradients and proportions should draw inspiration from Apples designs. Letters and words should be avoided. Symbols specific to any country must be avoided - i.e., no $, €, ¥, or £.
The key message to convey is that the app uses the camera to quickly and fairly divide expenses.
Other feelings we’d like to evoke include: Harmony. Efficiency. Welcoming. Balanced. Transparent. Clarity. Light hearted. Warm. Friendly.
Colours haven’t been selected for the app yet so there is room for suggestions.
