Nathan BC got their new illustration or graphics by running a design contest:
Graphic Design for Energy-Themed Board Game
Check out Nathan BC's Illustration or graphics contest…
Games & Recreational
Game of Energy is a board game that puts all of the world's energy industries together, requiring each player to find a way to generate enough energy to avoid the coming energy crisis, but to do so in an environmentally-conscious manner. All the stats in the game are based on real-life, so it provides for some interesting gameplay. The game is a "euro game" and will target gamers that regularly purchase more higher-end board games for $59+. Age of players will be ages 14 and up, though the target market is 18-44. Majority of customers will be in the US, but ~40% are elsewhere, as well.
What's your vision?
This contest is for the graphic design component of the game board itself. The main illustration is already complete. The details of this contest are contained within the attached PDF document that shows examples and explains examples that should be used for inspiration. There is also a mock-up of the configuration of what is expected for the game board.
This is a blind contest. We want lots of communication. Submit frequently so that we can discuss art direction and other potential concerns. Be sure to submit frequently before even the first round deadline, as we want a very good idea of your finished work if we were to select you for the final round. Please read the attached PDF brief. But if you still have questions, feel free to ask :)
