Whiskey Label Development Our initial concept is to have a strong powerful character/hero "Radix" to drive the brand and develop a following for the brand. We want to develop a character/hero to use as the face of our whiskey brand. This character will be the face of the label and will be on our whiskey bottles. We want you to design our character. Here is some background that should be used for inspiration when coming up with character designs - Our character "Ray" has been stung by a bee that had been pollinating the ginger flower. The flower was grown on the outskirts of a radio waste treatment plant. Due to this, the nectar has radioactive qualities. Unfortunately, this now radioactive bee has a taste for some very fine whiskey and has fallen into a bottle of Ray’s favorite whiskey at his nearby, local bar. Ray, as he is most nights, is at his local bar one evening having some drinks with friends. He orders a whiskey, takes a shot, and gets hit with a sting, unlike anything he has ever felt before. It burns his throat like a hot iron. Ray has accidentally been stung by the radioactive ginger bee suspended in his shot (think Spiderman). After some confusion and a lot of pain, Ray, eventually, shakes it off. Later that same night our character can be seen tossing and turning and sweating profusely as he sleeps... By morning Ray is no longer himself… Ray has become… "Radix". Radix is now one strong party animal, is ready for the night, and out to spread the word of his very own whiskey "Tempo - The Original Honey Ginger Whiskey". Our target demographic is the party goers, the shot takers. We want to try and capture their imagination, give them a sense of empowerment and strength when they drink our whiskey. With the slogan "Rip It, Don't Sip it" we want to set a tone of the fast life. Think Marv from sin city but a younger version. What's your vision?
• We are looking for a character to build the brand with. “Radix” should be a strong and powerful character. Radix is a Latin word for "root". • Tempo: (Definition) Music. relative rapidity or rate of movement, usually indicated by such terms as adagio, allegro, etc., or by reference to the metronome. A characteristic rate, rhythm, or pattern of work or activity i.e. the tempo of city life. Colors think contrasting colors black, white and gold (the color of freshly peeled ginger). Radix must be a man that has MUTATED into the super hero party animal. Radix is more mutant than human, in terms of inhanced muscle mass. Our whiskey is American so maybe have a trace of American heritage Radix should have a Tattooed and muscular athletic body His face could be a little battled hardened think, ex-boxer. Hair slicked back so his face is exposed Radix Skin - the texter of ginger root (maybe just an option) Radix is in the age bracket of 22-26 year ago old Think Marv from sin city but a younger version.
