I am an optometrist that provides first class eye care to patients of all ages, using the most recent technology. We also provide eyewear and contact lenses from high fashion to budget ranges to suit all our clients. Our target audience are our existing patients, but also we want to attract new, younger patients also. We are often competing against large chain stores that have high advertising budgets and we need to have a logo that looks very professional and sophisticated to compete with them, but also to distinguish ourselves from them.

I would like a design that immediately allows the client to identify what the store is - i.e. an optometrist.  I initially wanted to steer clear of an eye or spectacles in the logo, but I now realise this make it almost impossible for the logo to have any relevance to my business.  The one thing I definitely do not want though, is the logo arranged as some sort of letter chart, as this is what my current logo is like.  I would like the symbol and the Text to work smoothly together.  Even in coroporating some of the text in the logo is OK.  I have attached some logos that I liked from this website as a guide to what I prefer.
