Why we exist and why we are different.
We start with “Why we Exist.” Our passion is to create a unique and highly effective program to give ordinary citizens the ability to thwart and/or survive a terrorist mass violence situation. Armed with the knowledge and confidence gained through each stage of the program, graduates regain their God-given right to the pursuit of happiness and to live without the constant fear or what could happen to them, their families, and communities as they venture out to live their daily lives.
Michael’s Shield™ gives citizens the ability to stay safe and protect themselves and the lives of innocent people…giving us all greater peace of mind, and creating a blanket of protection within a community. This unique program differs greatly from any other defense program because of its unique three pillars approach.
In all that we do, the objective is to enable graduates to be safer, more confident, and capable of action. When faced with a dangerous situation they can now buy themselves and others more time, the most valuable resource in a dangerous situation. If we have time before the attacker can reach us, our odds of survival increase dramatically. Law enforcement can control the situation much more effectively when they have time to do so. The Michael’s Shield™ approach allows citizens to respond with the least amount of confrontation and the maximum amount of situational control to delay a would-be attacker, allowing innocents more time to find cover and concealment to protect themselves.
Our image as a firm needs to be one of helping individuals in businesses, schools, churches, and other areas help themselves and others to stay alive during a violent attack. If we have an “icon” for a logo it should tell a story about our ability to serve multiple audiences and how they can be better prepared to handle a terrorist or any massive threat of violence. We do training and skill development for people to help them be better prepared in dealing with these types of situations.
The icon or “symbol” we would use for the business should communicate our desire to serve these audiences and provide them with a spectacular experience when they interact with anyone in our company.
“Helping” is a key component of what we want to be known for and this should be communicated through our logo and our design elements (including colors). Security is both a “strategy” and a series of tactics for helping the people in various environments stay safe and know what to do to buy time before the proper authorities arrive.
We also focus on “Why we are Different.” Our two big differentiators as a firm will be our “Client Experience” that will be incredibly client-centric and designed to deliver a totally remarkable and memorable experience. The second differentiator is how we are building and delivering this training through the expertise of ex-military and police officers.
It is important to communicate this through our logo, our images, and our brand statements and taglines. Being able to set the tone that this is what we are about is critical. It can be illustrated through our colors, our name, and our logo.
We will use this to support all of our communications from a marketing perspective so it has to demonstrate this as much as possible as we combine it with other verbiage to emphasize our brand and differentiators.
