thomas_KO got their new logo & business card by running a design contest:
Video game industry consultant company "Feel Free 2 Play" seeks a UNIQUE logo and business card design

Games & Recreational
Feel Free 2 Play is consultant company for any actor in the video games industry. But unlike other big consultant companies like Ernest & Young, Boston Consultant Group, etc. the company should be perceived more casual, yet professional, like the gaming industry itself (comparable to the culture that can be found in many start ups). The name is a play with words, as it refers to the popular free 2 play (or free to play) model of games that can be played for free on a mobile device, on a browser or can be downloaded free of charge. Therefore, Feel Free 2 Play stands for a focus on the free 2 play (f2p) model, speak: feel [break] free 2 play. However, the name shouldn't be perceived as limited to the free 2 play sub industry, but as a general gaming focused consultant company, therefore speak: feel free [break] 2 (to) play, as an invitation to play more games in general.
What I DO want: 1) Be creative (for example): Create a fictional video game character as a logo (like the „android“ robot) or Play around with the „2“ even further, like a hand showing two fingers 2) Build logos with 2 meanings in a way that the first meaning will be easily recognizable, but the second meaning will only be recognized after inspecting the logo carefully. In other words, the emblem will contain two items: 1 will be recognized at first glance, but the 2nd item will only be seen on closer examination. 3) I will use the logo mainly on dark surfaces. So please provide your designs on both dark & light backgrounds. 4) Be clean and smart. 5) Don't pick too serious fonts, but ofcourse don't be too playful either. 6) Adding a detail to the font makes it unique. So it's a plus :) 7) The logo must tell our story. The logo should have a relationship with what the company does. Not all clients will directly see the two different meanings for „Feel Free 2 Play“ but, when they do, a little "aha moment“ should be achieved (and preferrebly a smile on their faces). I want to create a similar effect with the logo too. What I DONT want: 1) An abstract emblem with no or limited meaning. 2) An emblem forming the letters "FF2P". 3) A too colorful font (like each word having a different color). 4) A gamepad or joystick (if you insist on using one of them, be very subtle).
