Hallockville Museum Farm in addition to other date & anniversary elements detailed below.
We are celebrating our 250th anniversary in 2015. So would like that
incorporated in some fashion, along with the years 1765 - 2015. This
could be "250 years" or "250th" or "celebrating 250 years" or some
other concept along those lines.
Hallockville Museum Farm is a not-for-profit museum site which interprets over 250 years of agricultural heritage on the North Fork of Long Island. We have acres of preserved farmland and 19 historic buildings that range in date from 1765-1937. We draw a diverse audience of all ages from Long Island and the NY metro area to our events, classes, programs and museum exhibits. We are a semi-working farm with some acreage dedicated to crops and we also have cows, sheep and chicken that live here.
2015 is a big year of celebration a the museum and we need a logo that
can help communicate that to our audience and the greater community
at
large. We want to reflect on the past of the organization and the
original homestead which was built in 1765 while also looking ahead
to
the future of the organization.
**** I have added some more photos of the 1765 Homestead which needs
to feature more prominently in the design. The Homestead is the home
pictured below in several photos, including an old photo which shows
the Homestead at far right and its barn at the far left, looking
across a sepia-hued field (this is the TIFF file at the bottom). The
white barn with red truck photo is the
Naugles Barn which was built in 1937. And interesting concept would
be
to include the 1765 Homestead in the design along with the 1937 Barn
which shows the wide spectrum of history that the museum
encompasses.**** Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to go
with
any design that ONLY features the 1937 white barn.
I have attached our current logos and also some photos of the museum
campus. More information can be found on our website,
Hallockville.com, which is presently undergoing a re-design and
should
be launched by the end of August. I have also uploaded a sample
screenshot of the new website which we will also use the 250th
anniversary logo on, so it would ideal of the logo from 99designs
could also be adaptable to that.
