Our company sells non-prescription clear bfiocal reading glasses in many styles and strengths (e.g. +1.50, +2.00, etc) for men and women. We also carry many styles of sport and fashion sunglasses with a bifocal lens referred to as 'sunreaders'. These bifocal readers will be priced at $25-$35, similar to the over-the-counter reading glasses (aka "readers") sold at millions of grocery and convenience stores today. Likewise for the 'sunreaders', they will compete with the over the counter sunglasses priced somewhere between $35 and $75. The target market for this product are men and women between the ages of 40 and 70 - all over the world. Our bifocal readers will be for people who need reading glasses and who want to be able to engage activities that require reading small print or performing close work while simultaneously being able to focus clearly in the distance. For the sunreaders, the same need is present...sitting at the pool reading a book or riding a bike and needing to look read the cell phone when stopped or a bike computer (you can't carry an extra pair of reading glasses with you!). Why hasn't this need been met already? First, when people above 40 began to need correction for reading or near vision, they also typically need distance vision correction so the got a prescription for glasses. If you only needed help with reading, you would buy over-the-counter reading glasses or "readers". With the increase of Lasik surgery to correct distance vision but not near vision, along with the pervasive use of cell phones for calling, texting, checking emails, GPS navigation, etc., the need for seeing in the distance while simultaneously seeing up close has increased. Unlike the full frame reading strength "readers" or "cheaters", bifocal readers give you two options for clear vision - close up and far away. Currently, you have to have glasses made for you to get a bifocal lens. There are very few options for a bifocal clear or sunglasses at a low cost - a few online and no options in physical stores. The activities where this is an issue are endless. - the need to read a text and walk at the same time - walk through a store and read the fine print on a price tag without having to search pockets for their readers - read a menu with reading glasses perched on the end of their nose so they can look in the eyes of the person they are sharing the table with - Navigating with a cell phone or GPS device - Riding a bike and wanting to read the bike computer mounted on the handle bars - Reading a book at the pool - flyfishing where you have to and tie on a new fly (this exist in flyfishing shops but are approximately $100/pair) - handwork - sewing, knitting etc. where you might be interested in looking up - working a cash register as a checker or similar sales counter where you must use a computer or register to ring in a sale - using a remote to watch television - can't see the darn buttons and the screen. Ask yourself; how many times have you seen somewhere with their reading glasses mounted on the tip of the nose, top of the head, above the eyes on the forehead...do you WANT to look old? Ha! If you have to buy a pair of $20 readers (most of my friends over 45 years old have 5-10 pairs all over the house, purse, pockets, etc), why wouldn't you rather have bifocal readers you don't have to take off while you live and play? With regular "readers", you either can't find them, they are broken, or you wear them perched on the end of your nose? Thanks for the help! Logo types to explore
I want the design to appear on the 'arm' of each pair of glasses and also on the tag which would be attached to each pair. See uploaded photos for a picture of the tag. I need a logo that reflects the 'bifocal' nature of the lens - differentiate from the readers (one view) to bifocal (near and far vision). Should appear smart and friendly - appeal to the 40-70 year old men and women (mostly women).
