How michael3D started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Richard and Maude Ferry Foundation
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The client is a private family foundation that provides grants to support the following types of work: (1) Supporting institutions associated with the Catholic Church, especially in education and health care; (2) Supporting health care and medical research, with a focus on treating Alzheimer's disease and related conditions; (3) Funding programs that promote respect for human life, especially the most vulnerable in society; (4) Fostering community quality of life through support of the arts, education, and cultural opportunities.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Yes. I selected "Community & Non-Profit" under the "Industry" category, because it most closely matches the client, a grant-making foundation. However, I would have also picked "Religious" if I were allowed a second choice. The principals of the foundation are people of deep faith. They have expressed that the logo should incorporate -- "in a discreet fashion" -- a design element that conveys their Catholic religious tradition, which would be some variant of the Christian cross. We are looking for a "conservative" logo with understated elegance, but which also communicates the values of the foundation, with its focus on compassion and care for the vulnerable.
