Cool logo for new children's nonprofit organization

Who are you known as?
Coops' Kids Foundation
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are starting a new nonprofit that raises money to support children's charities (i.e. social, educational, emotional and physical health and development of kids). "Coops" refers to my husband and me - our last name is Cooperstein, and my husband's nickname in the NBA is "Coop." We want the logo to modern/edgy/ever-so-slightly whimsical, but not so much as to offend high-profile, corporate donors. We don't want Dr. Seuss or children's books. The NBA Dallas Mavericks colors are blue and black, so we like those, but feel free to use any color combination.
