finneganscoffee C got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create the best logo for a new neighborhood coffee shop: 'Finnegan's Coffee'
Check out finneganscoffee C's Logo design contest…
Finnegan's Coffee is a new coffee shop/cafe opening up in a small suburban shopping center. The cafe will serve premium coffee, freshly squeezed juices, other beverages, delicious cooked meals, snacks, sweets, cakes and muffins. The typical demographic is young middle class families. A local primary school is located close by and therefore we would like to tap into the mothers after parent drop offs. The overall vision for the cafe is to be somewhere in between small quirky cafe and big franchises such as Starbucks. Most importantly the interior and the logo need to look professional and modern (yet still recognizable as a cafe). Additional cafes may be a possibility in the future and therefore the logo needs to look professional and recognizable enough to be used as a franchise logo. IMPORTANT NOTE: this is NOT an Irish cafe, it is called Finnegan's due to the name of the street it is on, we do not want logos with Irish themes. Thank you for your time.
Logo types to explore
You pretty much have free rein to use your creativity. Something classy yet simple would be perfect. If you can incorporate some picture regarding to coffee, coffee beans, coffee cup, coffee bush, tree of life, barista, etc. that would be great... Also I have liked quite a few logos where 'coffee' is written below in a much smaller font. Maybe 'Finnegan's' should be much more of the focus.

I had 565 logos to choose from in my contest, and Shammie was the clear winner. She is a talented designer who is responsive and easy to work with. I highly recommend her!
