The name Mollimers is a combinations of the latin words for software (Molli = soft, mers = ware)
A few thoughts after looking through the first 390(!) designs:
What i Like:
x - I would like to get an actual logotype, not only the name written out.
If it is possible to break out the logo from the name as well as use it
in combination that is very nice.
A separate logo in combination with text is also a good way to go.
The point is that it must be possible to use as both a stand alone logo without text as well as the logo with or as part of the name.
x - The logotype must feel unique to me (a lot of the designs I've rated 1 star look a lot like existing logotypes for famous companies/institutions)
x - I really like subtle play with colour and shades to give the logos a slight 3D feel.
x - The logotype should not send mixed messages.
By that I mean that it should not imply a niche or activity that the company is not associated with (for example flying, medical, electronics)
x - No negative connotations.
I understand why someone would associate a lock or a warning sign with security, but
A) it puts Mollimers solely in the security niche, which is not the case, and
B) it feels a bit negative to me (obviously a subjective view, but never the less)
