United Way of Erie County is a local nonprofit working to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency by improving community conditions in Erie, Pennsylvania. Through our education focused impact we are committed to helping students succeed from kindergarten through graduation.
The Imagination Library is a free book-a-month program for all children living in Erie County, Pennsylvania. To date, more than 17,000 children have benefitted from receiving a free book in the mail each month from the time they are born until their fifth birthday. The Imagination Library in Erie County will turn five in 2018. To keep the operations of the program going, United Way will launch a fundraising campaign called "Keep the Pages Turning."
