How .NET Foundation started their logo design journey
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Prism is a developer toolkit/library/framework that allows software developers to build their application as a set of loosely coupled (or associated) parts. Those parts come together as a cohesive whole at runtime through the mechanisms of Prism. The original selection of Prism as a project name was based on the idea that Prism does kind of the opposite of what a real prism does in science, instead of breaking a beam of light into its constituent parts, Prism takes a set of unassociated constituent parts and unites them into a cohesive whole. This approach helps developers write and maintain the code of the application faster and the developers can often reuse functionality across applications because of the decomposition of the parts.
