Target market is kids in middle school and high school, and the parents of these kids. Riley, the organizer, just started middle school and this will be an annual event. So it really needs to appeal to kids, but the parents still have to 'get it', too.
This will be a charity so we don't want the logo to seem overly 'expensive'. We want it to look professional and attractive, but not over the top so contributors would wonder if we are a professional organization. We're not. Its just my daughter, her friends, with my help.
We'd like a bunny, of course, to be the mascot of the brand. He should be fun, maybe mischievous, but approachable and with a soft heart. He should be spontaneous and active.
Logo needs to be fun and uncomplicated. She'll put it on buttons, business cards, posters, and fliers. She'll need the art itself to be scalable in size (vector art?). He needs to be memorable so that we can use him on different advertising vehicles and still have people recognize it.
The charity is working out of southwest Austin, TX. Its kind of a rural area, but there are a lot of transplants from all across the country with their kids at her school.
The Easter baskets she'll be putting together will be the typical bamboo baskets you see in the dollar stores, but they will be large. They'll be filled with candy, and small stuffed animals, etc. There won't be practical items in them like toothbrushes or school supplies. The baskets will be all fun. We don't necessarily need an easter basket in the logo, we just want to give an idea of what the charity is doing and what the logo represents.
