Cosmetics & Beauty
Stable Ubiquinol, commonly known as CoQ10, is a patented ground breaking anit-oxidant by WhiteHill. It is the first active version of the substance for topical use, until now it has only be by oral consumption. The substance will be used in various Comestic, Beauty, Pharmaceutical and Medical products. It can be used to treat and sooth various skin issues, including, wrinkles, sunburns, cuts, rashes, cold sores and insect bites. Simply put, we must have a visual way to register the “news-value” of stable Ubiquinol. VERSION #1 We need a graphic, visually impactful, communicative design which can be incorporated onto packaging, as a part of “Brand Positioning” and what marketers and trademark lawyers call the “Package Dress”. It might be also incorporated into corporate letterheads and business cards. VERSION # 2 A recognizable “look” related to Version #1 which can be easily inserted into any font size type when used in descriptive text (brochures, label ingredient list, package inserts, use instructions, medical publications, etc.) NOTE: THE "LOOK" SHOULD BE THE SAME or similar to the font used in Version #1. It will most commonly be produced in black/white/grays and must be able to be easily sized to be “pasted in” to the text font/size. Any “symbolic” graphic should not be included in Version #2 REMEMBER: This ingredient will be used in two industries: COSMETIC + BEAUTY & PHARMACEUTICAL + MEDICAL Please read the below information for more about Stable Ubiquinol STABLE UBIQUINOL WHAT IT IS & WHAT IT DOES It is exactly what the name says, a stabilized form of Ubiquinol which is the ACTIVE form of Co-Enzyme Q, commonly called CoQ-10. An ingredient for inclusion in any topically applied product for use on the skin, hair or the mucosal tissue (the mouth’s “skin”) inside the oral cavity ( gums, tongue, cheek). Soothes, renews, repairs and speeds up healing of most forms of surface irritation, various forms of skin and oral discomfort, physical abrasion, sunburn, insect bites, etc. as well as minor “diseases” (dry mouth, rashes, gingivitis, etc.) It accomplishes the above effectively since it is the body’s normal repair tool and antioxidant protection. It is “natural” and “ubiquitous” in all tissue of all living things, but in very small concentrations – Stable Ubiquinol is trustworthy, not a “gimmick”. It is non-toxic to the body and environmentally friendly. Sable Ubiquinol provides much higher concentrations and biological availability to localized or topical “problems” of the types listed above. It is gentle, soothing, pleasant feeling, pleasant tasting in all forms of topical or oralcare products. It is widely used in Nutritional Supplements in capsules; previously this was the only way to maintain the Active Form of CoQ-10. The topical Ubiquinol has an advantage over orally administrated nutritional supplement capsules; in that it avoids the “drug effect” encountered by all ingest supplements. I.E., topically administered Ubiquinol penetrates the skin or mucosa and is available to the cells at essentially the level administered. Conditions such as app or wrinkles, reduced saliva flow, and oral discomfort are accompanies by dramatic reductions of Ubiquinol in these tissues. Inflammation and other indicators of oxidative stress are accompanied by reductions in Ubiquinol levels. Oxidative Stress is a root cause of many physical symptoms. Topical administration of Stabilized Ubiquinol combined with oral Ubiquinol supplements is the most effective way to respond to most oxidative stress conditions. When extracted from nature or as typically manufactured CoQ-10 is in the INACTIVE form of CoQ-10 The Active Form of CoQ-10 is called Ubiquinol. It is VERY unstable in presence of AIR Many major companies in the USA, Europe and Japan have tried for 5 years to stabilize CoQ-10. They only achieved incorporation into Nutritional Supplement capsules. Nothing topical until WhiteHill’s technology. Stabilized Ubiquinol remains in the active form for a few hours after application to oral surfaces, skin, hair, etc. More than enough to be effective in use. Non-stabilized Ubiquinol is not stable enough to allow the manufacture of a topically applied product, package it and remain in the Active Form until it is sold. Ubiquinol is the strongest anti-oxidant known; working inside the body’s cells. It quickly penetrates cell walls and goes to work. All cells of any living thing contain CoQ-10. Enzymes in the cell slowly convert the inactive form to the active form. As the active form does its health-protecting work, it goes back to the inactive form and the slow converting process begins again. Our company is a small, entrepreneurial company (WhiteHill) composed mostly of very creative individuals and inventors. It has invented and filed several patents on how to stabilize Ubiquinol in a commercial manner. It has been proven to be very superior to ordinary CoQ-10 for every known biological/physiological purpose. WhiteHill has licensed the use of the ingredient in several kinds of products to two major marketing companies. More products and marketing licenses are under negotiation. The most preferred means for administering stabilized Ubiquinol to the skin is via crème’s or lotions. For administering stabilized Ubiquinol to the mouth, it is a gel. The regime of applying stabilized Ubiquinol crèmes onto the skin several times throughout the day combined with taking one Ubiquinol supplement capsule, appears to be most appealing to the consumer segment seeking to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The “LINK” between topical and systemic administration of Ubiquinol (especially for wrinkles) has not been available until WhiteHill’s stabilization efforts. It appears that the reduction of the appearance of wrinkles continues as long as the regimen is followed. Because of the nature of the multiple products in which it will be used, there will need to be two recognizable versions of the same “look”, which will be incorporated into a range of Brands and Products by Oral Care, Health Care, Hair Care and multiple Cosmetic marketers. Once again, here are the two versions of the design that we would like designed: VERSION #1 We need a graphic, visually impactful, communicative design which can be incorporated onto packaging, as a part of “Brand Positioning” and what marketers and trademark lawyers call the “Package Dress”. It might be also incorporated into corporate letterheads and business cards. VERSION # 2 A recognizable “look” related to Version #1 which can be easily inserted into any font size type when used in descriptive text (brochures, label ingredient list, package inserts, use instructions, medical publications, etc.) NOTE: The “look” should be the same or similar to the font used in Version #1. It will most commonly produced in black/white/grays and must be able to be easily sized to be “pasted in” to the text font/size. Any “symbolic” graphic should not be included in Version #2 REMEMBER: This ingredient will be used in two industries: COSMETIC + BEAUTY & PHARMACEUTICAL + MEDICAL
Logo types to explore
GUIDELINES FOR TRADEMARK DESIGN(a little different from Logos, although most companies trademark their logo) STABLE UBIQUINOLThe US Patent & Trademark Office, and most other country’s equivalent governmental agencies, define aTrademark as (copied from http://www.uspto.gov/trademarks/index.jsp ) What is a trademark or service mark? A combination, used or intended to be used to identify and distinguish the goods/services of one seller or provider from those of others, and to indicate the source of the goods/services. Although federal registration of a mark is not mandatory, it has several advantages, including notice to the public of the registrant's claim of ownership of the mark, legal services listed in the registration. 1. There are two types of trademarks, Standard Form and Special Design. 2. Standard Form uses only standard fonts as one would in typing. It should be conceptually consistent with any Special Design, and evident to the reader that it is synonymous with the product, service or company in the Special Design. Examples of Standard Form for our stabilized Ubiquinol product could be: STABLE Ubiquinol®,StableUbiquinol®, STAbleUBIQuinol® ,Stable Ubiquinol®, or maybe even STABLE UBIQUINOL ® , etc. 3. Ideally, the Standard Form would be recognizable as related to the Special Design. 4. Special Design is the combination of all design elements, type face, shapes and combined fonts, symbols, colors, pictures, letters which are “non-words”, etc. 5. WhiteHill intends to cover all the bases, and will draw on your design to meet all the USPTO andInternational standards. You need give no thought to how we will do that, other than to rememberthat the key “name” of your Special Design will need to be rendered into Standard Form in somemanner by WhiteHill.
