We are a church in a suburban community and have been here for about 80 years. We are passionate about worshiping Jesus and serving our community.
Logo types to explore
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: The biggest thing is to keep it simple. With a name like meadow brook, there is a temptation to paint a scene that has hills and streams and a sunset (which is the first pic above and what we currently have). That's too busy. Also, we'd like it to say church instead of fellowship. That being said, we're not against using those aspects, we just don't want a busy picture. The second pic above is something someone in house try to design for us but was just using iStockphoto's so we didn't use it. but it was something we liked (sorry for the bad quality). We do want your work to be original At the same time, we are also open to abstract. It doesn't have to include any meadows or brooks. In addition to the three logo types selected above, we’d be open to a letter mark as well, so feel free to give that a shot. Although we want obvious, it does not mean that a cross is necessary. A lot of church logo's have a cross and we would like ours to stand out. So either try something without a cross, or do the cross in a creative way. I have seen a lot of logo's that have the cross and four sections to them like design #3. Our church's vision statement is to embrace Christ, engage in next steps and influence others. That's a three part vision statement and so a logo with three sections instead of four would be preferred. If you plan on attempting a letter mark, I would encourage you to use just the M instead of MB. It's a long story but in our context that communicates something else. LITTLE MORE ABOUT US: Our mission is to “lead people into the Christ-centered life.” Our vision is to “be a unified, inter-generational, gospel community that is embracing the living Christ, engaging in the next steps of faith and influencing others to do the same. We are about growth, journey and seeing people move along, that might play into the design as well. Here are some examples of logos we like (Sojourn church would be an example of journey, with meadows and brooks but still simple). http://www.acts29network.org/church-detail/the-bridge-arnold/ http://www.acts29network.org/church-detail/sojourn-church--fairfax-va/ http://www.acts29network.org/church-detail/fellowship-bible-church/ http://www.acts29network.org/church-detail/redemption-church--san-francisco/ http://www.acts29network.org/church-detail/west-hills-community-church/ http://www.acts29network.org/church-detail/the-town-church/
