** Do not use reference art supplied other than the Deckbound Logo ** Please try and incorporate the suggestions in the "ideas" section Use This logo will be used for the Deckbound Heroes game, which sits within the Deckbound Universe of games, underpinning platforms and technologies. Intent This logo should communicate the game's overall premise and key internal relationships, whilst taking into account the game's position in the context of a suite of games and their underpinning platforms and technologies. Ideas The word "HEROES" should be more prominent than "DECKBOUND." The logo might incorporate the Deckbound logo (attached) in some subtle form. It might also incorporate the style/theme of deities (see below) and the core concepts of the Deckbound Heroes game. It might use the idea of actual humanoid heroes (2 of) facing off within the "H" of "Heroes" with the background of the "HEROES" letters made up of the style of dieties referenced below in the "visual references" section. It should not be restricted to this and all ideas are welcome. World build In Deckbound Heroes, the player participates in a duelling activity that takes place in and is a fundamental part of that world. Powerful heroes use strong magic to battle each other on platforms, in arenas, to entertain the masses and maintain/elevate status. Pools, wells or containers of magic (which have the potential to be portals to a more spiritual dimension if heroes look down; this is more of a vague suggestion and may not be relevant to the design) are located below the platforms, "fuelling" the activity above. Deities are an integral part of the Deckbound Heroes world magic. There are a limited amount of them, each aligned with several important physical or metaphysical aspects of that world, which may not be expected or obviously congruent (although there will be an explicable and plausible link contained within the world build or lore). The appearance/clothing/art work of the deities has an iconic aesthetic and strongly visually and symbolically represents their overall identity. Heroes each have an affinity to a deity and express that through body markings/modification and (probably) physical characteristics or attributes. The marking/modification is a ritual associated with magic preparations. The marking/modifications and physical appearance are the distinctive features of a hero; clothing is more functional. Heroes reserve unmarked places on their body to wear affined runes. Runes are one-time-use, powerful magic spells that will be represented by a physical entity in the world of Deckbound Heroes; possible examples include amulet, gem, vial, flask, whistle etc. Heroes and Deities are broadly humanoid in appearance; this definition could be expanded to included exaggerations of stature, features, bodily proportions etc. Heroes are seen in their actual humanoid form (with markings and so on as above). Deities, though humanoid, are only represented iconically in the game (see visual references below for examples of deity representation). Game build Deckbound Heroes is a turn-based, multiplayer, board-control strategy game. There are 2 players in a game, each controlling a single "hero" character. The game is played in a series of rounds, and rounds played in a series of matches across different arenas, each containing different outposts. Players use different types of cards to cast spells to attack the opponent, control the board and manipulate the state of the game. Rounds are won by reducing the opposing hero's health to zero.
