We are a celebrity-backed nonprofit that works to raise awareness of the fact that Alzheimer's disease disproportionately affects women. Every 66 seconds, a new brain in America develops Alzheimer's. Two-thirds of those belong to women, and no one knows why that is. We're determined to find out. By doing so, we believe we will change the future for all minds.
Our vision: We envision a time when every woman knows she is at increased risk for Alzheimer's, when every person is educated about how to keep their minds and bodies healthy with age, and when research institutions across the U.S. have a commitment to women-based Alzheimer's research.
As an organization, our three goals are research, prevention and awareness. We support research of women's brains and work to educate people on what they can do today to lead a brain-healthy lifestyle and help save their minds in the future.
While we are focused on how Alzheimer's impacts women, our slogan is "Changing the Future For All Minds." Our audience is primarily female, but we want to target both genders and adults of all generations -- millennials and up. We believe that when we determine why it is that women are disproportionately affected by Alzheimer's, we will get closer to unlocking the mysteries of this disease and get closer to finding a cure for all people–men and women.
