judy.ekoeats got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a cute, modern logo for eko eats, a Korean fried chicken & bibimbap concept in LA
Check out judy.ekoeats's Logo design contest…
We are a fast-casual Korean fried chicken and bibimbap concept that is planning to open in the downtown Los Angeles area. It is a modern Asian lunch concept that aims to feed urban professionals who know and care about high quality, sustainable ingredients. I am partnering up with a local chicken farmer, who will be providing me with freshly slaughtered whole chickens. I am planning to use Koda rice, which is a northern Californian artisan rice grower that grows one of the best quality rices available.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury. Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
I am looking for a modern, clean look. The restaurant will have light bamboo chairs, tables and accents. The color scheme is natural, light wood with some brushed nickel accents. The uniform is a horizontal black/navy striped long sleeve collarless shirt with a dark denim bistro apron. I have included a picture of the chairs I have chosen for the restaurant to give you a sense of that style. PLEASE NOTE, the chair in the picture is darker than the one I plan on ordering. I will be using a lighter wood finish. I have included a picture of my current business card, which is close to what I want, but not quite there. I like the shape of the "e", as well as the "k". I kind of wanted the look of both letters to be open, as if it were eating the letter in front of it. I will also include a picture of one of the main dishes, which is my take on Korean bibimbap (Korean rice bowl). The name, eko eats (all small caps) comes from the fact that when you spell out "Echo Park" in Korean, the "Echo" needs to be spelled with a "k", hence, "eko eats." It is an homage to the neighborhood of Los Angeles, where I live. I have always envisioned a cute chicken as the mascot, not unlike the famous Echo Park chicken murals done by the muralist Cache, who we had commissioned to paint three painting for our home. I will include a picture of that as well.
