Childhood cancer...Improving the journey, improving the outcome.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This is a non-profit fund named for my 14 year old son who died from bone cancer. The fund supports innovative research for difficult to treat pediatric sarcomas. The fund also supports a newly developed communications curriculum that trains oncologists to better communicate with parents, pediatric patients and other caregivers. The target audience for the logo is current and future donors. We want the logo to be used on materials for soliciting and thanking donors as well as on marketing and advertising for fundraising events.
Ideas for a graphic: Nate loved the ocean and tropical fish. Nate also loved music, science, skimboarding, bonsai and nature. The yellow ribbon is the symbol for Childhood Cancer. Perhaps the logo could incorporate a graphic that uses these symbols. A careful balance between the two is needed - Nate’s Interests and childhood cancer - maybe a more abstract graphic would accomplish this? Also, I would prefer a playful (but not childish) or elegant font.
I am very open to creative logos that can convey the idea of progress/improvement on the cancer journey and cancer outcomes. Feel free to be as creative as possible.
