The Jaxson
We are a news site and blog providing hyperlocal coverage about the Jacksonville, Florida area. We are a partnership between a website and the local public media station, WJCT.
We are looking for a simple logo that includes our name, The Jaxson, in an appealing but legible font, similar to or stylistically compatible with the font in the "Modern Cities" logo attached. We also need it to be vertical so it can be used as our social media profile pictures. We're looking for it to either be in black, or at least easily reversible to black for printing purposes (such as T-shirts and printed materials by our radio affiliate). One of my thoughts was to feature the Jacksonville skyline in the logo - I've attached a logo for a similar site that does this for NYC, an image of Jacksonville's skyline, and another image with a stylized rendering of the skyline (behind the ship and beer cans). The buildings could be stylized and closer together than the actual skyline to get them to fit.
