design a logo for iaAgency

iaAgency is an underwriting agency. Underwriting agencies act on behalf of insurers, to underwrite insurance. We will be operating in specialised classes of insurance initially and looking to expand from there.

Our main target audience will be Corporate Authorised Representatives (CARs). These CARs will predominantly be from the current IAA network however we are open to marketing externally and we may also sign up underwriters to utilise our agency. The average age of the IAA broker network is 42 whereas the industry average is 56 so I think we need a logo which is fresh, funky and appeals to a slightly younger market. The term used for placing business is 'binder' agreements. So maybe a logo representing this? Our parent company is Insurance Advisernet Australia (www.iaa.net.au). We do not have to keep with their theming at all but I was thinking we could incorporate similar colouring but different style of logo?! A good example of one of our competitors (or company offering similar) is Austagencies. They are the parent company with a number of subsidiary divisions. Their website is currently under construction however you can see that each division has a unique logo but incorporates the same identifiable colour scheme - http://www.austagencies.com.au/ - maybe we can do something like this? In terms of a tagline, we do feel this would be beneficial to the business and over time will become associated with the brand such as ANZ and ‘we live in your world’. At this stage, I cannot think of an appropriate tagline but could think of one upon deciding an appropriate logo.
