The Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (OACB) is a 501(c)6 tax-exempt trade association established in 1984 specializing in providing information, continuing education, and acting as legislative liaison for Ohio's 88 county boards of developmental disabilities (DD).
As part of our mission to support county boards of DD, we host numerous professional development events each year. One of these events is the annual Annual Convention, which requires individualized branding, themes, and logos. We are currently looking for a graphic designer to create a logo for the 2018 Annual Convention.

The final design needs at least 6 saturated colors in CMYK. It should have a mix of cool and warm colors that are appropriate for a winter event.

We like the gradients in this design. Many of our past designs have included gradients, and we would like the finished product to have this too.
Our logo needs to include at least 6 saturated colors that are appropriate for a winter event. Our themes for this year's event is "vision" and "forward." We want to encourage our guests to think about what the future of their organizations will look like.
The design should include graphics of tools that are used to chart a course or draw a map. Designs should include at least one but no more than two of the following tools: Telescopes, binoculars, drafting compasses, maps, protractors, pencils/pens, sextants, or astrolabes.
The design should evoke the concepts of "future," "navigation," and finding your way. We do not want to see designs with images or outlines of people. The objects themselves should communicate the ideas.
