elainemmcg got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Get a Free Pass into HEAVEN!
Check out elainemmcg's Logo design contest…
OK, as an ordained chaplain, I can't guarantee a free pass into heaven. But this design crusade - should you choose to accept it - is bound to help.... I run an organization called The Healing Tree. It's a contemplative listening space which uses dream exploration, imagery, expressive arts, and being in nature to help people listen for the movement of God in their lives. My target audience is predominantly women (and hopefully some men!) who are seeking opportunities to take time out from their busy lives, reconnect to the sacred, and remember who they are and what they're becoming in the world.
Logo types to explore
I chose the name because of the image of the tree itself - grounded, deep, wise, silent, witnessing, energizing. I also like the idea of roots and shoots - connecting to our center (roots) is healing and nourishing, providing energy for blossoming and renewal. I want people to see the logo and feel both its simplicity and its mystery. I want them to feel like The Healing Tree is sacred ground, somewhere they can rest, connect to their creative energy and be renewed and restored (repair their souls.) The logo should communicate the following values: calm/contemplative, creative, mystical, sacred, simple, spacious, graceful, safe, restful, wise, earthy, grounded. Please no religious symbols!
