eric07 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
The Green Tomato Kitchen Needs A Logo So Good That Roger Goodell Hands It A 4 Game Suspension.

The Green Tomato (www.greentomato2.com) is a small take-out restaurant/catering company in Reading, MA. The food is good and the business is successful, but as you'll see from the website, they've never embraced any sort of marketing, digital or otherwise. The owner is planning on expanding and potentially franchising with a focus on healthier options including organic, non-GMO, vegan & vegetarian fair. Aesthetically and business-wise the model will be a lot like Urban Plates out of California (www.urbanplates.com), with an option kitchen concept and food cooked to order in front of the patron, as well as pre-made meals in mason jars, because Hipsters. The logo for The Green Tomato Kitchen needs to reflect the new direction - modern and sophisticated but still approachable. I guess something that say's "organic and kinda pretentious, but not TOO pretentious". The logo should say "this place definitely has kale". The owner likes the idea of incorporating some sort of tomato (I convinced him to kill the cartoon green tomato chef he's using now because they don't have Happy Meals), but I'm not sold, so maybe seeing both options would be nice? Maybe something like what this place did with a stylized leaf in their logo - www.mizunadenver.com/. The "Kitchen" in The Green Tomato Kitchen will be replaced with the word "Catering" for that side of the business, so I don't know if that matters, but there it is. That whole thing was long. Sorry.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Greens: Growth, harmony and success. Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
