Bar & Nightclub
café KAIZEN 4pm – 4am Monday – Saturday nightmarket café, club, lounge, bar, boutique dimsum, sashimi & deserts in London, UK, Mayfair the Sino-Japanese word "KAIZEN" means: "continuous improvement" - "philosophy of improvement" - "change for the best". KAIZEN is a daily process, that humanizes the workplace, eliminates overly hard work, known as "muri". We are a space, that constantly “changes for the better” from afternoon through to late at night. Smoothly evolving from a café, juice bar, work space, featuring our hand picked collection of 15 unique of boutiques. Into a beautiful lounge, bar & with our hand prepared DimSum & Deserts menu. later into the night, we evolve again welcoming our DJs & catering to the capitals trendsetters and creatives. We evolve constantly too over period of weeks, changing our furniture, art and mood each season comes upon us. Sino-Japanese refers to the portion of the Japanese vocabulary that originated in Chinese or has been created from elements borrowed from Chinese. KAIZEN refers to any improvement, one-time or continuous, large or small, in the same sense as the English word "improvement” so simply means "good change". Our urban industrial interior takes note from the New York lofts and lower manhatten social-work spaces. As it was the Americans that introduced the concept of KAIZEN”: after WWII, to help restore Japan, for which the principle advisor was awarded the 2nd Order Medal of the Sacred Treasure by the Emperor of Japan in 1960 Our homage to this American introduction of KAIZEN is in the form of our outermost structural design: exposed concrete and ductwork, reminiscent of the New York Soho styles that become so famous. And in our core concept: A need for a be more than just a club, we are a bar, a café, a lounge, a work place, a marketplace and a breathtakingly beautiful night club. The Traditional Japanese Tattoo “Irezumi” started in the Edo period (1600–1868), where “decorative” tattoo began to develop into the advanced art form it is known as today. “Irezumi” is the decoration of the body with mythical beasts, flowers, leafs, and other images from stories, myths and tales. Wearing “Irezumi” is an “aspiration” to life’s goals. They used a unique ink known as Nara ink, or Nara black, the ink that famously turns blue-green under the skin, which is the original look of the truest tattoo. “The perfect blossom is a rare thing.” ”You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life.” [about cherry blossoms] “Perfect. They... are all... perfect...” The Last Samurai : Emperor Katsumoto Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Their powerful symbolism has taken on a life of its own, For Japanese imagery, the beautiful period of its flowering and then the all too soon fading and subsequent scattering of petals on the wind, they symbolize life itself. The fragility of the cherry blossom is the fragility of human existence, its brief period of life, like our own, and its individual and perfect beauty. The symbolism of this staple in tattoo artwork seems almost more than one flower could bear. However it does shoulder the burden perfectly. Cherry Blossoms are held in high regard in Japan, emblematic of life’s fleeting nature they represent mortality, love, magnificent beauty. It is regarded by all as a good omen. Sakura viewing, or hanami, is a national event. people of all walks of life gather under the trees in bloom to picnic, drink sake & welcome spring.
