we are a FLIM company -- we produce film, with content that is deep, and illuminating the twists in human nature with unwavering honesty. we are primarily focused with documentary right now, tho we also have two features in the works. i think the thing we are trying to establish is something that can perhaps in the future on our website have the potential for movement. this is an example of something i DONT like, but it does have a telescope, and it holds both animated and still http://www.spyglassentertainment.com/ (not my choice of design, just trying to give u an example of where it may be headed on the website in a few months - so we are trying to keep that in mind) also take a look at "focus features" that uses the colors we were looking at -- and is subtle with its use of clarity vs focus... think of something that will look great at the opening of a film -- we are realizing now that we have a few that black is the more obvious choice of background, or some form of dark with a suggestion of light...

 am really looking for a "seeing above the common ground" -- something that comes into clearer vision kind of a feeling.... the use of a periscope or suggestion is very helpful, needs to feel SOLID and reliable, not cartoon like... sexy, streamlined and strong without being ominous.

i always had the idea of maybe that being done with a simple line, and using the periscope coming thru and above -- something that could move... our idea for the website will open with the vision of a periscope (limited vision going back and forth as through a perisscope, then opening full screen to main page)

the idea that there is "something above" common thought - that there is a way to "see above" is something we would love to incorporate... however, i genuinely love stream-lined, simple work. i do think less is more - especially w a logo... thank you! very excited to see what you come up with! we are under a bit of a deadline -- if it can be done earlier, the better for us!!!
