We are a research grab at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. We work on weed control in turfgrass systems (golf courses, sports fields, lawns, etc). The "4T" name is an abbreviation for "Tennessee Tactical Turf Team" because the latter is too long of a name to be useful. We operate under four principles of leadership outlined in the book Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. We've edited the principles to begin with "T" to align with the 4T name.
— Everyone works together to accomplish a goal
— Communicate in simple terms to ensure understanding
—Calmly do what’s most important first, then move onto the next task
— Everyone understands the goal and why its important
