Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Heartlight (http://www.heartlight.org) is launching a new devotional that focuses on the life of Jesus and is loosely based on the Christian calendar. This new devotional will be written with the "voice" of Jesus and invites people into a closer relationship with Him. The devotional is based on a relationship of friendship and obedience.
We've held 99 Designs contests for both the Heartlight logo and The Verse of the Day logo (http://www.verseoftheday.com) and have enjoyed working with the designers found in this community.

To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We're wanting to convey a few key things in this logo but I we're open to how that's done:
- Time: the devotional will last approximately one year and is named that way. We would like to see the idea of "a year" portrayed in the logo itself.
- Jesus: This devotional is written in the "voice" of Jesus and we would like to convey that if possible through imagery. Crosses are fine but other illustrations of the person or concept of Jesus are encouraged since crosses are often overused. We've seen lots of submissions with doves but feel those better illustrate the Holy Spirit, not Jesus.
