Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Running Rivers is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that strives to facilitate the connection of people with healthy freshwater ecosystems like streams and rivers through novel recreational events, educational activities and on-the-ground projects. For example our flagship recreational event, the Rocky Mountain Flyathlon, is a new multi-sport event that integrates three activities that are currently surging in popularity in the Western U.S.; trailrunning, fly fishing, and craft beer. While many enjoy these activities independently, we have found over the last several years that putting them together is even more enjoyable. We challenge our race participants to raise money to protect the very streams that we fish and the trails that we run.
Another example of the types of projects we use to raise money for conservation is the Rare Beer/Rare Fish project. The goal of the Rare Fish Rare Beer Project is to partner with conservation-minded breweries to develop innovative, highly local, limited-release craft beers that focus on native fish within their home watersheds. With these rare beers, we seek to educate craft beer drinkers about the diverse challenges facing these native fish species while simultaneously raising money for projects that benefit their preservation.

Attached file is our current logo. We need something more powerful that somehow represents a nexus between the river and people.
