DESIGN UPDATES: ***I would NO LONGER like to include the initials of the crewmembers, as previously requested.***
We are a tight-knit group made up of 9 individuals that fly aircraft on tactical missions together. Our group's name is "Combat Aircrew 7" or "CAC-7" for short. So essentially, the number "7" is the theme of our group. The number "7" and "Combat Aircrew" is the PRIMARY emphasis for this design.
The squadron that oversees us, known as "Patrol Squadron Eight", has a "Tiger" mascot, so that is an additional theme that we would possibly like to see on our patch (but DEFINITELY not required). The primary color scheme is black (primary), orange (secondary), and occasionally yellow (tertiary), but we are ABSOLUTELY open to completely different color schemes.
The patch should preferably be circular shaped and will be worn on the right shoulder of our uniform. It will also be developed into a custom coin in the future. So please consider designing something that will transfer well onto a wearable patch when we have them produced.
Our preferred slogan is "ASW World Champs", but is NOT a definite requirement to include on the patch, just a suggestion if there is open room. Other possible text to include is the Latin quote "Ubi concordia, ibi victoria". (It means "Where is the unity, there is the victory".) ***I would NO LONGER like to include the initials of the crewmembers, as previously requested.***
We operate near the island of Okinawa, so it would be cool to see an outline of the island on the patch. (Perhaps if the shape of the island was incorporated in the number "7"?) The Japanese and American flag could also be possible additions. Overall, we want this patch to convey fighting, aggressiveness, masculinity, and motivation/inspiration.
I will upload files that show what our Tiger looks like (please don't use that exact Tiger graphic, however) as well as an outline of our aircraft; an outline of Okinawa; and a generic silhouette of a submarine (our mission is to find them). Other patch styles that we like are seen here:
