The shades of colours of the logo can be altered, but must remain blue and orange as these are the organisations colours.
The logo is based on the Hammurabi Code, a well-preserved Babylonian Code of Law, which is an important component of Iraqi History. The actual code is written on stone that is the same shape as the logo. It is important for the overall shape to remain the same.
Additionally, what looks like strokes, circles and dots, actually spells in the Arabic script (RTL) the name of the organisation: Al-Mesalla. Therefore, all of these components must remain, so to still spell the name in Arabic (i.e. the two dots in orange are part of the last letter).
However, the thickness of the strokes, the dimensions of the "circles" can be played with.
What we are looking for:
- To add the name of the organisation in english (Al-Mesalla) to the logo.
For consistency, it would be ideal if the typography chosen has an equivalent in Arabic script (i.e. Noto Kufi Arabic and Noto Sans).
- Make logo more proportionate.
- We want to modernise our look, thus we're open to the logo being given more definition, texture, details, depth, smoothed edges, etc.
