New org with goal of bringing a velodrome to New England needs exciting logo!

New England Velodrome and Sports Complex

UPDATE TO BRIEF:
The elements of our name ranked by importance:

3. and Sports Complex

Since “New England” is the most important element of the name, imagotype logos which communicate “NE” or “NEV” are preferable.

While we encourage designers to use any colors, we’ll add that colors typically associated with New England are consistent with the American flag: red, white, and blue. (see New England Patriots, New England Revolution, and Boston Red Sox logos)

Finally, if you’re thinking about shapes, a velodrome oval is preferable to the shape of a bicycle since we expect to build a multi-sport facility. (possibly also used for speed skating, running, etc)

The New England Velodrome and Sports Complex is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a multi-sport velodrome facility and promoting the sport of track cycling in New England. Our primary target audience will consist of recreational and competitive cyclists, and fans of the sport of cycling.

NOTE: Despite a large population of cyclists in New England, there is no velodrome in the region. Our organization has a goal of raising one million dollars during the next two years so that we can secure a location and begin the construction of a velodrome. This logo will be the face of a young organization primarily focused on fundraising to build the region's first velodrome.
