Research project on platform cooperatives

Does decentralization increase the impact of platform organizations in the sharing economy? What is the potential of decentral technologies such as the Blockchain technology? What potential do platform cooperatives have? The project “platforms2share” aims to provide answers to these questions. We are a group of junior researchers from several disciplines studying the different types of platform organizations and their potential effects on ecology, economy and society.

We are particularly interested in organizational forms and technologies that enable decentral solutions in the sharing economy. The idea of decentral networks or platform co-ops might be reflected in the logo. Since we aim to work together with partners from the sharing economy – and in particular, from cooperative platforms – founders and members of sharing economy initiatives and researchers should be able to identify with the logo.

Please note: The "2" in "platforms2share" does not have a particular meaning and should not be highlighted. Also, the abbreviation "p2s" should not be used and highlighted in the logo.

In order to make sure that the logo has a rather "youthful appearance", it might be helpful to have some colors or colorful elements in the logo. But this is not a must.
