Simplicity is great as well as the unique design.
The current logo requires an outline to be visually interesting or not on a black background. We'd like the logo to be able to stand alone when embroidered or put on merchandise and things like that where intricate lines are a little more challenging to achieve. It looks great with a black border but if you use another color like the yellow on black with border, it looks like a completely different design. We'd like the logo to look consistent on any background.
The current logo incorporates 2 "R"s for the eyes. If we can find a way to incorporate the Rs in some way that would be great, if not... we care more about a cool looking and stylized wolf design. Do not get hung up on this note. It's about 2% important compared to the 98% importance of just a unique wolf head logo that will look great in media/social as well as on clothing/hats/merchandise.
UPDATE: The bulk majority of designs have emphasis on the R's... We honestly DO NOT care about the R's as much as a Wolf head logo that will look great on merchandise that will give us clear brand recognition. To reiterate... We care WAY more about a clean, simple wolf head logo that doesn't require an outline like the current design for different color backgrounds. This is a logo redesign so it can't be more complicated than the current.
