Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We do consulting in information security, primarily application security. Our target audience is mid to large size companies that develop their own software and web applications and understand the security risk introduced by the web applications.
Please see the "****** ADDITIONAL NOTES ******" section in the notes as I tried to better describe what we are looking for.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
While we are a security firm, we absolutely do not want a lock as part of our logo. This is very overused and we do not want that. We're not very happy with our current logo, it just doesn't strike us much and are looking for new creative ideas. While I do say I like blue, am not tied to it, green and other colors may make more sense. "Cypress" is a type of tree and we chose that name as it is a strong robust tree. Our current logo plays off of the tree aspect (but again, we're not that happy with the current logo). In our current logo, the little dots are there to play off of the internet and bits of information flowing through the internet (or tree in this logo).
****** ADDITIONAL NOTES ******
We do not want shields or locks. We are looking for original, simple and subtle designs. The best security is security that is there but isn't seen, or at least it isn't obvious. We want our logo to reflect this. Abstract concepts of security. It could be a figurative wall, or shell or something protecting something. Defending, rebuffing attacks, insulating and protecting. I'm just throwing out terms and maybe they can help you with designs. But again, I think we really want abstract original and simple designs. It helps sometimes to provide a brief description of how you did the logo as we may not immediately grasp the subtlety. If you can describe your concept, then we can use that to describe our logo to our clients. Thanks for your entries!
