adworksca got their new menu by running a design contest:
Menu design for an upscale, modern diner

Upscale, modern diner
What's your vision?
Greetings, Uploaded you will find scanned images of the old menu and a Word document containing the text for almost all of the menu (I'll have one last page for you shortly, but it will be put in a sleeve inside the menu, so order won't matter when it comes to this page. It won' need to be fit in with the rest of it). Of course, you will manipulate how the text is laid out, font, etc. to fit the space allotted. This will end up being a 6 page, 12 view menu (not including two half-pages I'll tell you about shortly). Full pages dimensions are 9x15". Half pages will measure 5.375x15". Please see the image of "The Savory Spot Menu" to see how the half-pages will fit into the equation. I appreciate very much your effort in making the layout easier to follow. I thought you did a good job. However, the owner was very clear that we will keep it the way it is. It works for them. Therefore, I've uploaded the entire old menu (labeled as such) so that you can see the layout. We will (mostly) keep everything on the same page. Here are the exceptions to that: 1. First page- Fruits and Juices section (ending with Large Baked Apple): let's move this section to the front side of the first half-page. I'm all for adding some scrumdidly-umptious images as you see fit. (The second side of the half-page will be purposefully left blank) 2. The front side of the second half-page will have a portion of the top section of the last page, from the alcoholic beverages section. We want to take Wines and Beers and place it on the second half-page. Note: We're not removing Wines and Beers from it's current location. We're going to have Wines and Beers in BOTH places. Please feel free to add some catchy graphics there as well. The second side of the second half-page will be left blank. 3. We'll add a page (two views) onto the end of the menu. Like in the Savory Spot Menu image, we'll leave the first side blank. Second side will be our back cover. 4. For the back cover, let's follow the basic idea of the Savory Spot. Same background graphics as the front cover, I would imagine would be the way to go . "Thank You for Your Patronage", etc. across the top. Down lower, starting at "Additional...": It'll be easier to specify what to remove. Please remove the following: facebook, twitter and instagram icons, delivery.com, grubhub and seamless logos. All else can stay. One thing to add to the back cover: the "Ad Ink Logo for Back of Menu". Please add this somewhere near the credit card logos, perhaps. Please feel free to incorporate graphics to the degree you see fit. I realize doing so may be troublesome due to the vastness of the content. It's one hell of a menu. I hope I addressed everything. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again!
