Luigi's work was high quality and he was very responsive and fun to interact with. Thanks!
Great Job, Excellent Designer!

Excellent designs. Just what I asked for!
- Oliver O.
Oliver was a responsive and creative designer. He provided solid work and had a great personality throughout. Would definitely work with him again.
Great designer with excellent vision. Stays up-to-date with trends in the design world. Responsive to comments and attentive to details. It was not really "working" with Fernando, it is more of being a part of the creative process. If you have a passion for what you do, he shares it with you. He didn't mind to stay up late to fix little things. And if you think he doesn't "get" you, that's only because his english is not so fluent. Try sketch-drawing your idea and he will comeback to you with design meeting your demands.
How robert oC started their app design journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
This contest is for a new iPhone app. The app allows you to set a time of day that you want the internet to be blocked. This is helpful for increasing productivity and stopping yourself from mindlessly surfing the web.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
I would like the app have the feel of a modern iOS7+ flat style design. See the example I've shown for styles that I like.
For colors, I am open to anything. The app icon will be red with a white glyph. You can choose to use these colors or not. Other colors are ok, but it would probably be best to include red somewhere in the screen design.
I need you to design three screens. These three screens will define the design and I will take your design and incorporate it throughout the app. You only need to worry about three screens.
The first screen is the rules screen. I recommend you start with only this screen in your submissions and let me approve the direction you’re going it. You can see the wireframe for this screen attached. This is the screen that shows the rules that the user has made to block the internet. They might say something like “Block web pages until 9:00 PM” or “Block web pages every day from 10:00 AM until 5:30 PM”. Each rule also needs to display if it’s currently blocking the internet or not. You can do this with words or an icon or whatever. The user can also temporarily disable rules. This state is probably best represented by greyed out text.
The second screen you should design is the recurring rule creation screen. You can see the wireframe for this screen attached. This screen is really simple. It includes some text “block web pages from…” and then it includes button that the user can tap to select the times they want to block the internet in between. Then there’s an ok button to create the rule.
The last screen is the time selection screen. You can see the wireframe for this screen attached. When the user is creating a rule, they select times of day. So this screen includes a time picker and an ok button. The time picker has to be the same time picking wheel that standard on iOS. You can change the background color and size but the mechanism has to stay the same and the text has to be black (Apple won’t let you change it).
What to avoid
Here are a couple additional tips:
- You can use any font that is included in iOS9. You can see what fonts are available at iosfonts.com. If you want to use Apple’s new font, it’s called San Francisco and it’s available for download here: https://developer.apple.com/fonts/
- The app icon will most likely be a shade of red with a white icon. You can choose to incorporate red in your UI or not. Other colors are also ok.
