Hi, we are a ramen restaurant called Fukuryu Ramen, it means Lucky Dragon in Japanese. We opening a branch of our restaurant in Columbus, Ohio early 2016. Our restaurant makes real-deal Japanese ramen and other Japanese "soul foods" served in a modern, welcoming and energetic casual atmosphere. We are not fancy and definitely not fusion. We are trying to embody the slightly more gritty side of modern Japanese urban culture. Our target audience is the local community around our store. This includes professionals, students and business travelers. We want our store to make a favorable impact on all senses.
What's your vision?
We would like a piece of dragon artwork designed that is very similar to our existing pieces of art. Our current works are monotone based on traditional tattoo designs but where the dragon is enjoying a bowl of ramen. This new piece of work will be placed prominently on our feature wall that is 44 ft long and 10 ft high. We would like the artwork to fit these dimensions. Most likely, we will have the work printed as a cut out decal and stuck onto the red wall behind it. Because the piece will be so large, we prefer the artwork to be handed over as vector art. We would like to stay close to our current dragon design and appearance but will consider other creative ideas. The current design is similar to tatoo artwork and it is safe to stay within this parameter. The art will be front and centered in our restaurant.
Please keep our artwork confidential and do not share. Ask any questions you like, we will replay ASAP. Check out our Australia store on instagram: #fukuryuramen
