Australian Association of Social Workers

Community & Non-Profit
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a professional body for social workers in Australia with 8,000 members. We seek to influence social policy at a National level.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want an illustration to accompany an article responding to the Interim Report on Welfare Reform (known as the McClure Report).
Welfare reform is a relatively dry subject and we want an illustration that will grab people's attention, and draw attention to the AASW's different way of approaching reform compared to McClure and the current Government's.
At this stage we envisage an illustration that has three parts, a set of shaky pillars (representing McClure) a set of steps (the AASW position) a man, perhaps with a top hat and cigar, digging a hole (representing the current budget)
Updated below is
1. the current content of the article to be illustrated with a very basic diagram of the AASW position
2. the executive summary of the McClure report. The front page has a diagram of four pillars that we would like to parody.
